Blockbuster one of the biggest DVD rental companies, that was thought to never catch up to Netflix would most probably get close enough in the UK. The Gordon brothers best known in the UK as the company that recues troubled companies bought Blockbuster’s British assets. It’s believed that they’re planning to have 2,000 workers and 264 stores running for a big turnaround. Gordon Brothers are also planning to bring New products and also new technologies to Blockbuster, with is obvious now a days if you want to compete with other companies like Netflix, Hulu and such.

Finally something new for all of us to enjoy Fiber Optic Cables. Currently the fastest date speed is around 186 Gbps with translate to 186 gigabytes per second. But thanks to researchers at the University of Southampton in the UK, they created a hollow fiber optic cabled that is filled with air that makes it 1000 times faster then cables that are being use now. This new hollow Fiber Optic Cable is capable to transfers data speed as fast as 10 TERABYTES per second, that is amazing fast. Obviously this new technology will first be available to those big companies that need fast data transfer like YouTube, Vimeo and such.
Google Glass will reportedly be built in America, at least initially

For those people who aren’t gadget crazy, Google has been working on its news product call Google Glass with is basically a phone converted to glasses. But the $1,500 price tag might be too much Google has reported that their product would be manufacturer in the USA. The price tag makes much more sense now if the glasses would be manufacturer in the USA. Some sources believe the reason that Google is keeping their product so close might be, because they want to assure the best quality product they are able to offer. But is really worth paying $1,500 for some glasses that might work as a phone? Maybe not
Founder Mike Lazaridis to leave Blackberry May 1st as vice-chairman and director

Former CEO of Blackberry who resigns one year ago Jim Balsilles who rencetly sold off his shares, might have influence Mike Lazaridis who will become former blackberry chairman after May 1st.  It seens that its own founder Lazaridis has no hope for the crumble company Blackberry. Lazaridis today announce that he will be steping down pretty soon on May 1st Blackberry is expected to have a new Chairman. In other words Lazaridis say he will be focusing more in his new investment Quantum Valley.
Ludwick Marishane: A bath without water TED Video
Ludwick Marishane a South African resident invited a way to take bath with out water. He spends four year on study and research to just try to find out a way to bath with out water. Also he just didn’t want to created something for him self but to also to try to stop trachoma. After does fourth years Marishane came with a lotion call Drybath. Drybath allows you to shower without water by just putting the lotion on your body like if you were taking a shower.

Bell Labs doubles beams in fiber optic lines to reach 400Gbps on a global scale by Jon Fingas

Fiber optic cable have now reach the speed of 400Gbps through 7,954 miles of fiber. they have triple their speed thanks to the Alcatel lap. It hasn't been said yet how fast would this optic cable would actually be put into use, but it seen that it will be soon for Alcatel.
